Discovery Semester at ETH for refugees with an academic background

The Discovery Semester is a project in which refugees seekers with an academic background can attend lectures at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich free of charge. They (mentees) are accompanied by students from ETH Zürich (mentors). The program provides insights into student life and by attending lectures, one can get to know an ETH study program. Besides this, diverse Discovery Semester events make it possible to establish valuable contacts and offer the opportunity to practice German language skills.

My first impression was like the fish brought back into the water. It was a premium experience that gave me a real opportunity to learn the study system at ETH in a dynamic group and very helpful mentors. I attended a number of courses that have positively affected my career journey.
